Myth about credit cards.

Have you ever heard: "Don't get too much credit cards!" from someone before? Or maybe you have heard something similar such as not getting into much debt. In many occasions, people in reality are not complaining about the actual credit card, but the interest rates itself that is brought with it. See, disappointment and frustration comes when a person tries to pay off a credit card, but that percentage goes to the company and not the actual item that was purchased. Companies do need to receive their earnings for lending the money, so what is it that we need to actually look out for if we really do need credit cards in our lives?

There has been many myths about credit cards just like having too many is one of them. First off, we shouldn't be scared of having them. Instead we should learn how to use them to our advantage. Credit is one of the factors that you should know affects how much interest rate you will be paying back to the company. Therefore, before applying pull out your credit reports and you can learn how to do that by referring back to our previous article in, "How to Boost Your Credit Scores."

You would want to ensure that there are no errors on the credit reports and your credit scores are healthy. Next, you need to be careful with the credit limit of your account. An example would be a store approving $500 and you would only use $150 of that amount. What this does is that you don't look like a risky customer in potentially not paying back a high balance and you don't get stuck trying to repay the money. Some may say this is not fair, but I suggest if you want more lending you get MORE credit cards. Remember though, always stay within your recommended credit utilization ratio (30%).

Another thing you can do to watch out in using credit cards is tracking down your income vs expenses. You need to know your own money that is coming in and out. Using a budget sheet on a monthly basis can be a helpful guide. At My Financial Resources Center you can have it done for only $10 a month. Managing your money is important and you will be able to see if you need to decrease your expenses or increase your income.

Credit Cards are not bad, we just need to learn how to use them properly. Plus it can present a good mix of credit for the benefit of your credit scores.

Credit is Future Money

There is a debt crisis and potential recession, yet credit seems to be the solution to our future's problems.
